Hansen's Wally Wing Dun

Playing around with backgrounds; interesting how the blue brings out red tint in the CdC

Found this fly on Youtube (he does a lot of interesting things with CdC)

Most time consuming part was preening/prepping the wing; rest of the construction was pretty straightforward. Didn’t quite get the spent-wing effect but the upright wing should fish okay.

Beautiful tie, Scott. I never was a fan of messing around with Wally Wings, though.

Part of the fun in tying is messing around.

You’re right, SMHAEN is really an artist with CDC. He has some great tying videos.

Very nice flies Scott. Thanks again for sharing with us.

True. It’s fun to experiment sometimes.

Really good looking mayfly pattern, never messed much with walley wings but I do like the look of that fly with the cdc. Very nicely done
