Ok, Son #1 is starting to decide about his H&H 9’ 6wt blank.

Question: Spacing: Do we go with the Garcia spacing or is there other spacing specific to this blank?

I’m sure others will tell you differently, but the way I do it is to get another 9 foot rod and just match them up guide for guide.
Four piece and two piece won’t quite match up but you can adjust them around with in reason.

I imagine this rod is finished by now. I had the same dilema. My guides were hitting the ferrel wraps when I used the H and H guide chart. I called H and H and they confirmed the use of these dimension.

I decided to call Pacific/Rainshadow and asked for their guide chart. It was different and fit the blank well.
