Gutermann thread sale

Just a heads up…

Jo Anns has all Gutermann threads on sale this week 50% off.

which kind of Gutermann thread do you use for tying? i went to http://store.quilting-warehouse.com/thread-gutermann.html and they seem to have a lot of different materials…:frowning:

Is this for fly tying or rod building (or both)?

I use it for furled leaders as do a lot of floks…some use it for tying…there was a recent thread about it…don’t know about rod building…

Ducks, do you like the Gutermann for furling? I know Jim Williams uses it exclusively.

I do , Mojo, in fact, I got my first from Jim…just took his word for it…overlocking Tera…never have done a unithread…

Having said that I have been using Coats & Clark Embroidery thread from Jo Anns lately and at least in hand it seems just as good …but no field testing though.

The last time I was in Joanne’s they didn’t have much of a selection of Gutermann., at least that was the store by me. What Guttermann do you use for furling. I’ve been using Isacord 40 Embroidery thread & it’s been working out well. I’m looking for an outlet for 3mm rings. I just use a Shorb loop now but I want to try the rings.

Fishn50…see my last post…I haven’t seen the Tera here…as I said I got it from Jim Williams across the waters…

I don’t use rings but I think most folks get theirs from J. Stockard.

BTW Coats & Clark polyester embroidery thread comes in lots of colors.
