I need some of the threaders with the red plastic ball on top. I bought one and like it. It came in a cleaning kit. I don’t need the whole kit, but need a few more threaders. Does anyone know of a good place to get these, that won’t charge too much for shipping and handling?
Stop using the metal threaders, they can damage your bobbins.
Go to your drug store or grocery store and buy yourself a pack or two of FLOSS THREADERS something like the ones shown in the links below. They are soft plastic, will not ever hurt your bobbin and very easy to use

I wasn’t going to use them for that. I want them to push rubber legs through foam popper bodies. Thanks for the warning though.
Have you thought about a small crochet hook?
or a needle?
what we need for this is a pin vise that’s hollow. thread a needle, drop it thru the vise, tighten, push thru, release.
Certainly you can use different things for putting in rubber legs for poppers. I just happen to like the Griffin threader. It is a perfect size for what I need. The ball end helps you pull the threader back through with the legs. The threader is narrow and strong enough to do the job. It is about 4 dollars for three threaders, but I thought I might be able to get a few more. The problem is the shipping charges seem to be high on the ones I have found thus far. I don’t want to spend four-eight dollars on threaders, then 6 dollars on shipping and handling. (or more) I just thought I would run this by people here, maybe somebody else uses these, and knows of a good place. You don’t find out shipping until you are going through a purchase normally.
why not make one?
piano wire and a bead
Well I could, but it would be easier just to buy them already made I think. I don’t have the right bead for it, and I don’t have any piano wire, but that sounds like a good way to make your own alright.
