Green River Utah

TV Report; Roland Martin fishing show. It was a drift boat trip down the Green River. They caught rainbow, brown and cutthroat. I payed attention to the Guide rowing the boat and I really noticed that the Guide’s job is not easy. I also noticed they hooked some trout in fast water. Very nice looking river! Utah has beautiful scenery!

>You betcha. That is the area that I guide at. Not the Green but Falcon’s Ledge with the Yellowstone, Rock Creek and Strawberry. One minute you feel like you are in the desert with sage brush, next you are in a forest with pine trees and quakies.

So who runs Falcon’s Ledge now? Gone are Jim Bills, Howard Brinkeroff and Duane Redding. We now deal with a gal named Shelly.

I wonder if they are still using our Lodge-ical software.

Spencer Higa, is the manager of the guides. Shelly still runs the place however…a woman thing. And Dan still owns it.

What is Dan’s last name? Do you ever see them using a program called “Lodge-ical” in the office? They would use it to plan activities, take reservations, housekeeping, Pro Shop, etc…

Just curious as we don’t hear from the new owner very much, just Shelly. How long have you been there?

Is Dan Mormon too (the previous owners were)?

My wife and I have been doing a lot of software consulting for LDS in SLC at Temple Square for the last 9 years. It’s our 2nd home as we are there at least a week a month! We are like family to them and they are the same to us (I believe we are the only Catholics there!

Well, is there much of a difference?

Thanks for your replies! Let’s get back to the thread. Sorry, my bad!

Happy New Year!

Sorry, there are three sections of some of the most Beautiful River you will ever find. I would recommend a guide and drift boat for the first time. (and no I don’t guide there so no self plug)[/quote]<

I’ve fished the Green. In fact, I rowed a drift boat through the Mother In-Law rapids a few years ago. What a river. It does seem a little fake to me, like a theme park  All the fish seem to be the same size (large) and the river is so clear you can almost see 20 feet down in spots. And yes, it is green! That day we had a blanket BWO hatch but hardly a fish rose.

I need to go back!
