I know that several of us were able to get together at last years Great Waters Fly Fishing Expo and put some faces with names (White43, Kathy Scott among others. Who all’s planning on being there this year?
Maybe we can all get together again to meet some new faces and see some old ones again.
Wrangler and I are headed in Friday afternoon and plan to spend all day Saturday. It was fun seeing people last year. I think we met at 10 a.m. in front of the registration booth on Saturday. My goal is to cast a $1,200 rod and compare it to my new 3 wt!!! That, and to say, “What’s that again?” to Kat. JGW

It’ll be great to see you guys again, and I hope meet more FAOLers. I actually found a later flight on Sunday this year, so I’ll be there most of all three days finally
The program looks cool. I hope to be able to hear Brian O’Keefe (my photos could use some advice), and I’m so pleased to get a chance to hear Wil Steger.
I would not miss the “Great Waters” Fly Fishing Expo, in Bloomington. This is the 3rd year it has been held at the Sheraton Hotel, and each year it gets even better.
Making sure to get there early, so many things to see, and they have 3 halls that are constantly being used to teach/discuss different fishing topics. Lot of fly tying going on at all times (by different clubs), the main hall is full of Sponsors of FAOL, plus many more companies that have sterling reputations.
Did I mention, that this Great Water Fly Fishing Expo, is put on by a Sponsor of FAOL?

I plan to be there Saturday and Sunday. Would enjoy seeing any and all of you. Shall we plan a meeting time and place for Friday, Saturday & Sunday? Thay way, everyone gets a chance to meet some folks and those that will be there more than one day can meet LOTS of folks.
I’m going to be semi-anchored to a table (booth 305, I thin) in the verenda room. Everyone is welcome to rendezvous there (leave messages for each other, stash a coat, you name it). Jerry Kustich will be around there, too.
This year I will be sure to wear my fly vest that has “The Canadian Fly Tier” as well as the “FAOL Patch” (The Original). Do I need to wear my “Bernie & Cecil” Cap (The one with the propeller on top)? Update 3-27, I will be attending the Great Water Expo on Saturday…

I will also be attending my 3rd Great Waters Expo this year along with my oldest daughter.
We will be in and out of the Clackacraft and Dave Scadden/North Fork Outdoors booths, as well as tying the morning shifts in the fly tyers area.
Stop by and say hello or we may just meet up by Kathy’s table or even at the TU get togther on Sat. nite.
Wow!..I’m glad I clicked on this thread. I did not know about this expo and am STOKED! And only a short drive down I-35 to the Cities. And such great timing since my wife and 6month old son are going to visit the mother-in-law in Ohio that weekend. I will try my best to be there! ROCK ON!
Rush River is in West Central Wisconsin, near Ellsworth Wisconsin. The small village of El Paso is located along the Rush. The TU has done major stream improvements on the Rush, including building floating cover along the streams shoreline. If memory serves me (have not been to the Rush, in many years) there is a Tavern less than a 40 foot cast from streamside, where a thristy angler can refresh themselves with a “Cold Lienenkugel”.

PS: I will be sure to sign up for the stream cleanup this year.
