Hope to have my first wood strip-built fly rod done in time to bring it with me to have some people look at it. I also want to see if some of the reel and/or line vendors will let me put a couple different lines on it to see how it casts.

If I want to see your wood strip rod at the Minneapolis show how do I find you? Are you going to be an exhibitor?
I am not an exhibitor, however, I will be around all day both Saturday and Sunday. Look for the guy carrying around what looks like about an 8’ rod. I also will be the one who looks dazed and confused by the overload of information with drool running down the front of his shirt from looking at all the cool toys. I also manage to stop by Kathy Scott’s booth regularly to bug her.
If you let me know what days and time you might be there we could make a point of meeting somewhere at a specific time. Like I said I will be there all day Saturday and Sunday.

If any of you want to take a look (and/or laugh at) my first attempt at wood strip rod building lets make a point to meet at a specific time and place. I haven’t had a chance to really look at the expo schedule so not sure what I will be doing when but over the next few days let’s try to plan something. Will be good to meet some of you anyway.
I’m sure Kathy will not mind us meeting at her booth. I’m sure she would like to sell us some furled leaders, DVD’s and books while we are there.
