For Christmas last year, my wife bought me a Dan Vise. Recently I noticed it was not rotating as freely as it should. I contacted Al and he told me to send it to him and he would either repair or replace it. I had it back in less than a week. He noticed that the jaws also would need to be replaced. This was due to an over tightening on my part. So he replaced them as well.
For the money I don’t think you can beat this vise as far as rotary vises are concerned. And the service is some of the best I have experienced.
There is a video that comes with the vise about setting it up…if you call Al I’m sure he would send you one…I can’t remember if it covers what I said but probably does…I was referencing the one he has out on rotary tying.
Al also has a video on rotary tying techniques which covers adjusting the jaws as well. Great video by the way, but of course if you have ever seen any of Al’s video series you would know that.
