My wife and 14 year old granddaughter went to Big Sur in April for a photo shoot. They are both taking photography in school, my wife at the JC and Chelsea in high school. They did this for class projects.
They both entered some photos at the San Bernardino County Fair in Victorville, CA.
My wife just called me from the fairgrounds. Our granddaughter won 1st place for originality, second place in nature photography and an honorable mention on a third photo. She did this on a 730 olympus point and shoot digital camera. I’m so proud I could bust. Jim
Congrats to your daughter. Be careful you don’t pop from all that pride. When do we get to see the winning pictures?
My wife has them on her adobe photoshop. I’ll have her find them for me and upload them to my 'puter so I can post them here.

Awesome!!! My first granddaughter is just 6months old. She is a lot of fun. Ive got an old Boo rod Im gonna refinish for her. Hope she grows up liking to fish

I am pretty sure being proud of someone else does not lead to the dark side, just pride in oneself, so you are really solid ground.
