Okay everyone we finally got some great news. Randy had the shots of radiation stuff and the some kind of MRI last week to show one way or the other on that Oesteomylitis stuff that came up not that long ago. Well as of this morning when they called me he has no signs of any of it and is now finally going to get fitted for a leg and start his rehab.
After over 2 years things are headed in a better way and now of with the rest of his life.
He (in case I had not told you) also had a wonderful time last weekend as he was given tickets to the Super Bowl and tickets to the day before when he and his son got to go shoot sporting clays with the old NFL stars. It was very nice of who ever gave him that and he really appreciated it. He and his wife got to go to the football game.
So wonderful news today!!! So Prayers do work and thank you one and all that supported us and prayed all this way.

Below are a few picks from along the way.
He got his Purple Heart from the Sec. Of the Army. This was really early on like just a few weeks after the IED got him.
Then a pic with all of us in the room and I think this was the first time they let us in without a mask. Pretty sure the mask came back after this pic, LOL!
Here is when Big & Rich came by his room that first year.
Skip a couple of year ahead…Here he and wife are at the Super Bowl with one of the guys that also got to go. I already as why it is so small, LOL!
I am so happy to hear this and hope the rest of his life goes better. Big and Rich was really cool and makes me feel proud of them to take the time and say hello to him. My son is now retired Disabled from the United State Army. He was retired as a staff Seargent on disability. He was on top of a building that was attacked and blown up. He fell two stories and suffered multiple concussions. The concussions he sustained makes him a little slow like the boxer Ali. He is only a little slow and it will never get better. The point here is he survived and now lives in Germany with his fiance and is currently working on his Bachelors degree in international bussiness. It boys like your son and mine that makes me damb proud of them. This is a wonderful story that brought back a few memories for me with a few tears of joy.
Thank you and I am so sorry to hear about your son.
I know many have had it much worse than my son who lost plenty, but since he and his wife work for the care collation for SOCOM he and his wife see many guys that are not good at all. Their wife and family much have great endurance. The ones with head wounds that will never get better touch Randy and his wife so much. They are also considered mentors for that too.
At least your son is not bed ridden and knows what is going on and I thank God for that!
Please tell your son thanks for me and my family as we do appreciate his service and sacrifice!
Randy,
I am so proud of you! You have brought the Can Do spirit of our Army shinning to the fore. No such word as Can’t!
I wish I were there to shake your hand, buy you a beer and thank you in person. Well, this Air Cav Trooper salutes you and is praying for you. I am forever in your debt my brother in arms!
Hey Dad,
You and Ma have done real good. We are praying for all of you.
Moderators, a request, please to move this post to the main board.
That’s great news about Randy. Your family continues to be in our thoughts. And Fontinalis we’ll be thinking of your family too, and wishing you, your son and the rest of your family all the best.
The strength, courage, and sense of honor your sons and so many other young men, women, and their families have displayed, and that have sacrificed so much, inspires awe and a deep sense of gratitude.
Skip & Fontinalis,
Thanks for the updates. Both your fine young men will remain in my prayers.
I also thank them both for their service & sacrifice. They are among America’s finest!
God Bless,
Mike
I would have to agree with ohiotuber Skip & Fontinalis. Both your sons are heros and in mine and my families minds and hearts, they are both national treasures. I sincerly hope and pray for their health and well-being, and please tell them both that from the very core of my being, a veteran says thanks.
Today he sent me a picture of him self standing on his first new leg that they fitted him for this week. He was still using the rails they walk between and can hold on to get use to it, but it was great seeing him standing again without his crutches.
That’s fantastic!
I’m glad to hear that everything is finally going his way. Thanks a bunch for the pictures. It’s always great to have a face to put with a name.
