actually i was reading about goliath grouper fishing in florida (a protected species) and the website states that releasing the fish in the water is acceptable but removing to to take a picture is not an immediate release so it is techinically possesion, even if only for a moment.

We are talking about Grassies, not Goliath Grouper. The Grass Carp regs say nothing about an immediate release, only the Goliath Grouper regs. The Grassie regs only say not to remove the fish from the water (such as transporting or keeping the fish).
Yes the FWC site shows photos of Grassies out of the water for the photos. Take your C & R photos of Grassies.
All I meant by my post was that the FWC seems to define possesion as anything beyond immediate release, so the same understanding of the rule would probably hold true for any species where possesion is prohibited. Like I said before, I don’t think taking a picture of a grass carp you caught is going to get you into any trouble anyway, just trying to post some info about Florida’s interpretation of the regs in case it does become an issue.
you are dead wrong…I ask the FWC myself…the same could be said for your baby snook out of the surf out of season…if you have a problem with the way I fish then you should PM me…errant stating of the rules to make me look bad doesnt sit well with me…the same thing could be said for taking baby snook out of the surf out of season
