Grandson Connor FINALLY arrived!

Connor James Flanagan, 7lbs 13 oz, 20 1/2" long greeted Mom Venus, Dad Ben, & sisters Tia & Erika at 11:20 this morning. We took the girls to visit & soon to be 4 year old Erika (who wanted a sister) told her Mom…“Your baby’s naked!” (not OUR baby, or My brother). She has, however, shown some signs of excitement. Looks like Connor’s gonna have to be a tough kid…she’s already let it be known that her room is “girls ONLY”. We are pretty proud…he’s our 4th grandchild, but 1st grandson, & the ONLY Flanagan male of his generation…the name is passed to another generation!
Stay tuned, next spring it’s the twins.
Mike

CONGRATS TO THE CLAN OF FLANAGAN

Congratulations buddy!! You are going to need that Sage now. Amy and I are very happy for you and the family. By the way what brand did you use to “calm your nevers”? Glad mom, dad, baby and grandparents are ok.

Mike is going to have to sleep in the car when make the Cabela’s trip! He’s got so much to brag about we’ll probably never get any sleep!!
Here’s the deal Mike, 15 minutes for the Rod, tops! 4 15 minute sessions on the new Flannagin. Yeah, a whole hour but not all at once!! And, 15 minutes for each of the other Grandkids! Now that’s 2 hours which in small doses we can take! If you can adhere to these guidelines you don’t have to sleep in the car!
But, knowing you as I do you better bring a sleeping bag!!

I feel more like I do now than I did when I got here!

Cactus AKA “Lucky Dog (Pirate Name)”

Congrats Gramps! Very happy for you and all.

I’ll hoist a pint of stout in honor of young Connor as soon as I can get ahold of one. Thanks for the excuse and congratulations.

Mike,

Congratulations Mike!! Glad to hear all are fine and doing well. Now the way I see it, you will not have any time for the Sage Rod project, so, since you and I are such good buddies, I will volunteer to take the rod off your hands so you will have the extra time you will need to be with Connor! Just send it to me and you will be so relieved to have all that extra time!! I hope you appreciate having a friend like me that is willing to do this for you!

Warren

Congratulations on the new addition Mike . I have 3 grandkids and they are a huge joy .

But Tuber , I am a little worried about the new sage getting cobwebby and all dried out . If you forward it to me with a self addressed stamped envelope , I will keep it limber for you till the little one is old enough to wave it . Anything to help out .

Congratulations Mike. I’ll hoist a Guiness in honor of the lad when I get away from work. It seems to be providence that he is born just about the time the the Irish Nationals (fly tying) have been announced for this year. Methinks there might be an omen there. I have every confidence that you will get a long rod in his hand in a timely manner. Maybe you can let him feel the cork grip when he gets home. Remember that if he slobbers on the rod, it is a Good Thing.

Sounds like Mike your Blessings are getting rather large!!! Gongrats!!! And I pray you have many, many, many more!!!

Tim your friend,

From the discription of your new grandson, he sounds like he is a keeper. Congrats to you and the family. I’ll lift one tonight in your honor.

Let’s see. Keeping the Canadian econ in balance for Jack and lifting a few for you. I may just not be around for the next few days. G

Congrats I know just how you feel, I have 3 and there is never a dull moment around them.

Harold

Thanks everybody! I will be tipping a few Harp beers this weekend in “Connie” Flanagan’s honor. My son says he’s calling him CJ, but Gramps here thinks “Connie me boy” has a nice ring to it!
As far as the rod goes, send me your addresses & I’ll send pictures!
Mike

Congratulations!!

With as an incredible week as you have going… have you considered picking a few lotto numbers?
