My H&H kit arrived today but I don’t think I’ll match chris’s build time! The blanks are Teal colored, might look good with gold or silver thread? Also have Royal Blye, Yellow, Green, Orange (ecch!!) and Maroon (ecch! again)

Jack, if you don’t use color preserver, take each of the threads and make you a test patch of each with about 20 to 30 wraps, put the epoxy on them,. and after it dries, see how the colors look against your teal
maroon wraps are actually rather classy looking, though I’ve only used them for narrow trim bands and measurement bands.

I’ve built three on that color Forecast blank. Royal Blue, no CP darkens and blends nicely (not perfectly) with the blank. Chestnut (no CP) darkens into a rich mahogany color that adds a nice contrast and looks good with a darker wood reel seat insert. Maroon with no CP will darken and complement cocobola inserts.
