Sounds nice, Rick! I look forward to seeing it in the pictures of all the big fish you’ll catch this year!
GREAT Rick!
Sounds like you’re in for some fun times.
Should we now address you as MISTER Rick Z?
…lee s.
There was a thread on Clarks, the Boo site, and if I remember right the 81/2 foot Beaverkill is supposed to be a sleeper. In other words a great caster. If ya cant make it talk, send it out here and Ill educate it for you LOL
Rick, I’m sorry to hear of your fall into the pit. On the bright side, you have some good company. Enjoy that rod, it probably won’t be your last! You’ll truly enjoy the fish you catch on it.

Oh no he crossed to the Dark Side LOOK OUT!!!LOL Nice sounding rod Rick I’ve seen pictures of them but you’ll have to post one so we can all drool over it.

Another good man has been seduced by a long, lithe, limber, little thing with great looks and awesome moves.
<moment of silence>
Soon they’ll be slipping off to spend some “quality time” together…

Since I’m new here, I gotta ask. What’s considered the “dark side” here on the forum? Bamboo?
Over on the fiberglass flyrodders forum, the “dark side” would be graphite (but not all of them!).
just wait until you start fishing it…you’re officially hooked…it’s all downhill (or uphill, depending on how you look at it). Either way, I suspect that your wallet will now be getting thinner quicker…but, you’ll be enjoying the joys of bamboo and more bamboo. it’s more of a disease, really…
'scuse me, but the “dark side” is those (mostly) black synthetic hollow things with guides with only one foot. all of us who have gone into the light know that real flyrods are made of a specific species of grass that only grows in a small area in China.LOL

imo, it’s all good: boo, glass, and graphite. No “dark side” rods in my quiver, and there are examples of each.
jchanner - cheers from Montrose.
Hi Rick,
I couldn’t pick a better home for a “Boo.” Just one word, ENJOY! 8T
I got the line in for this rod today. Already had picked up a reel a year ago. Reel was to good of a bargaion to pass.
Now to get everthing on it and go out.
