Gorman's Hot Bead Assassin

Primarily a steelhead pattern; I’m hoping it’ll dredge up some salmon this summer, too. Tied in various combinations of pink, orange and chartreuse. Here’s a great video, from the fly’s creator

Sized down I thin would work for pan fish.

Rick

HI Scott,
that is a great looking fly and I am betting that would work in the coming Potomac shad runs. Probably work for panfish too.
Gerri

Yes indeed! Nice tie!!!

Gerri,

I bet it would work for shad (probably skip the veil). Looks like I’m going to miss most of this years’ run; heading for MT in late March and won’t get back to VA until mid-May. Guess there might still be a few whites in the river, but not many.

Regards,
Scott
