Hi Warren - The reply you recieved doesn’t surprise me at all. I wish you could meet Dr. Fish in person - you’d understand immediately.

There’s a lot of pretty good hook manufacturers out there, but none of them are more responsive, and “available” to the average fisherman than Mustad is. I’ve never met anyone from Tiemco, Dai Riki, etc, in person, but Mustad makes the extra effort to respond to every question I’ve ever sent their way. This concern and care for their customers makes them my hook of choice, both now, and for over 40 years. They are like an old friend that makes hooks for you!
