Yea, maybe I’m crazy to think it matters but I want to use some REAL Wood Duck flank for wings on some flies I’m going to tie up. I don’t need a whole skin just enough feathers to tie up maybe a couple dozen flies.
I have seen lots of sources of packages of feathers so I know where to get them; but I was wondering if anyone had a source that was better than most in terms of quality and quantity?
I would consider a whole skin if anybody can help there since I’m famous for buying WAY more materials than I will ever use in my life.
The skin is not the way to go. For one you can not buy skins in the United States. Two there are only enough lemon feathers on a skin to tie around a dozen flies. Jim Slattery was dealing with some woodduck that was real nice. www.jimsflyco.com

I will send you plenty to tie up whatever you want. I live in the heart of wood duck country and will send some next week when I mail out the ones I owe to Caddis.
No need to buy wood duck when I have this many feathers lying around.
