I was given this by my father the day I was born. It has been my good luck charm since then. I carry it everywhere.
My father had a 1925 Silver Dollar given to him at birth. He carried it everywhere. He left it in his regular pants on his last hunting trip in 1967. He passed away that day. My Uncle placed it in his suit coat pocket at the funeral.
Well, I kind of have a lucky charm. It’s also a coin. A twenty pence piece dated 1982, the year I got stationed at RAF Upper Heyford. The coins edge is six-sided and fits perfectly in the slot on my 35MM cameras battery cover, as well as the slot on the battery cover of my dogs beeper collars.
Yes I do. I have a St. Michael’s pendant. St. Michael is one of the patron saints of policemen. I took it off one day and forgot it at home. The day I had at work was not to be believed. When I got home that morning it was hanging on the corner of a mirror where I had left it; I put it back on and never had a repeat till I left it on the mirror again. I have never risked strike 3.
I also had a pocket knife that I carried for 15 years, the key word being had. I lost it and that is as close to loosing a finger as I want to come.
