Going to Crested Butte/Gunnison in mid-August

I posted this on a previous thread a couple months ago but for some reason I can’t search and find it, so sorry for the repeat.

Does anyone have any suggested reading, maps, message forums devoted to that area they would be willing to let me know about? We’ll be staying in Crested Butte but I’m more than willing to drive wherever I need to go. I prefer the smaller streams as opposed to the larger rivers.

Again, sorry for the repeat of this question.

Johnny, feel free to email me (should be in my profile, if not, look me up here) as the time comes. I am across the pass in Paonia. High runoff this spring, might rearrange things a bit here and there, but the water is coming down most places and the snow is melting. Kind of. Sort of.

I should have more info as the day approaches and I get back on the water more.
