Going fishing today

It is 0636hrs in 20 minutes I am heading south to The Kankakee River in Kankakee, Il.

Fly rod in hand and a bunch of just tied streamers. I will fish the state park for some smallmouth action. If things don’t produce at the park I will drive down to Momence, IL. and work from Island Park upstream to my Mom’s and beg some dinner.

With any luck I will be posting a fishing report and posting some pics this evening.

Good luck to you, Tim. I fished the spillway below the dam when I was stationed at Scott AFB in 1970. We used to catch bluegills in the lake then impale them on monster hooks with heavy sinkers, and catch huge channel cats in the fast water. What a lot of fun.
