Getting ready in case HRH comes to CA

Hey Betty!! The school has started your garden…

A loyal Californian would conserve water for old J.B., the gov, and not water that row.

I always figured okra was like kudzu, an invasive plant species.

That’s cause you are a Yankee at heart don’t know what to do with it. Seems like most Cajun dishes have a little okra in hem and they are all good.

AAACCKKKKK! I can feel my throat tightening, and hives starting, by just looking at that picture! What are they teaching those children???!!!

They are teaching those children to grow OKRA !!!

I am a little late, but I got some okra seeds today. I plan to sow them on Memorial Day.

Have good little Swamp Witches gone flinging flies at bluegills? Are there non-toad witnesses?

Ed, happily thinking about a mailer to send okra to Swamp Witch Betty in August

There’s only one way I will eat, and enjoy, okra. Many years ago Ladyfisher included a gumbo recipe here on FAOL. It makes a big pot of yummy!

Nope, no bluegill yet! Missed out on last Thursdays pond fishing due to dr. appt, but my boys really cleaned up! I did, however, manage a number of fine trouts to my hand before the car decided to weird out in southern Missouri.
