It is not fair! The gasoline prices have plummeted from $3.00 per gallon, to $2.25 in less than 2 weeks since Labor Day. Now there are only 2 weeks left to the Trout and Bass Season.
All summer, I could not go fishing where I wanted to go because of limited budget (retired and supplementing income with a paper route), and high gas prices. Now that I can afford to go to those fishing spots, the season is almost over!
I know exactly what you mean. Last week I drove across 3 states for a fishing trip. Haven’t added up the gas receipts yet but, a $3+/gallon, it is going to be a big bill. Prices started falling on the day I got back.
Gas is still $2.79 a Gallon here so you folks got it good. They are always slow in Montana to take it down when the hunting season starts. It will be another 4 or 5 weeks for us to get down. They hold it up to make money here. The station’s do it that is. Not the wholesaler. Ron
I have a 90 gallon tank on the farm here, I am not complaing, I am filling it up this weekend. We use our generator for power outages at least three times a year. I will be needing it. I have been holdingout to buy propane (we heat and stove top by it). I hope it is down too. No complaints here.
Gas is comming down just in time for trout fishing in our lakes. The big boats are put in storage, dock are taken in and the trout come into shallow water to feed before freeze up--------BILL
Idaho is still $2.84. The highest I was willing to pay this summer was $2.98. Wow. 14 cents. Gee, I can almost buy an ear of corn now.
It seemed our prices went up fast with the average (and any excuse in the world) but refuse to go down just as fast as the average.
There is a lot of profit being made from the oil companies (did you see the last quarter profits from Exxon/Mobil and from BP??), profit from state and local taxes, and profit from everyone.
