Looks like I’ll be in Houston for the next 12-18 mths, wondering if there are any fly fishers in the Galveston to CC area?

Most of the coastal fishing is done with 6-8 weights wit WF-F lines. There are a number of spots where you can walk in or rent a kayak. In and around Houston, you have Trinity Bay, East and West Galveston Bay and Christmas Bay. About an hour down the road, you’ll come to East Matagorda and when you cross the Colorado River, you are in West Matagorda Bay. Between Port O’Connor and Corpus Christi there area number of bays and lakes that have beautiful grass and sand flats that trout and redfish love.
