I’m thinking of getting one of these for my parachutes - do those of you who have them, like them?
I would stay away from the gallows tool. With a little practice tying a parachute is really very easy but you will never learn to do it right if you are using a gallows tool. To me it seems like synthetic materials such as para post or antron are very easy to make posts with and would be good to practice with.
I use the gallows tool more for paraloop flies than for parachutes.

Isn’t that what they used to kill Saddam?
The best use I’ve heard of
Here is a how-to of putting a parachute together without tools and without a wingpost.
That makes it a candidate for waterside tying.
Check it out and try one
It is MUCH easier than it looks.

Sweet fly Roy
I thank you, OLB

Save your money, they are useless. Parachutes are easier to tie w/o the gallows getting in your way.
