Anyone know wht I can make a furled leader out of for steelhead. I was thinking that thread you spin deer hair with. I can’t think of it right now. I am open to all sugestions.

Do you mean Kevlar ?? I’ve furled a few leaders with it and they are AOK and really strong. If you don’t need them right away, I can send you a spool or two when I get home since I don’t use it any more. Just PM me your address.

Remember the gel spun or Kevlar types will have no give…some find that a negative…
I make furled leaders also & for heavier weights I like 2lb mono or Fluro with one or 2 strands of 6 lb “Spider Wire” in the mix. You can almost swing on them & the spider wire does not increase the Dia. much at all & has no effect on the way the leader acts.
