Fuente Fly?

The idea for a cigar fly was conjured up while working on the dream catcher fly last winter (while also enjoying a stogie). I finally got around to tying it while waiting out thunderstorms the last few days. Complete with it’s own humidor.

Filler: Shaped balsa under-body
Binder: CA glue
Wrapper: Brown floss
Label: Pieces form actual cigar labels
(Coal: Orange floss)
(Ash: white antron dubbing)
(Smoke: Polypropylene fibers)

Humidor lined with Spanish Cedar filled with aged ‘tobacco’ for packing and complete with Cuban export label.

BB you never cease to amaze me…that is Cool

I like it! :o)

I wonder which end the fish would go for first?

In this age of political correctness…as with barbs…you will likely be forced to tie it “smokeless” in short order:^)

So what would you catch with that, a rising politician? But I remember a sexy blonde advertising cigars back people were allowed to make their own decision rather that people who know better than you doing it for you. Edie Adams I believe, enjoy a moment from my youth.

That was cool. Good idea.

Now that’s cool!

Before someone steals your idea, send it in to Fly Tyers Magazine and Cigar Aficionado.

Oh sure, anybody can make a robusto.

With one of those $19 hooks, you could have made a churchill.

Really nice!

Good call Steve! Although wasting a 10XL Carrie Stevens hook on a ‘fun fly’ would take some considerable thought.
