WOW - that is real art work !!!

John,

I agree wholeheartedly. I wonder how long it took just to burnish the silk floss. Truely a work of art.

sorry i dont mean to hijack the thread but where can you buy silk floss? i havnt been able to find it anywhere.

If you have a fly shop near you then they should have it if they are well stocked.

If not, J. Stockard has them and I think H&H has it as well. Maybe even Feather Craft…

Hope it Helps, Merry Christmas!

VEE and I get our silk floss from http://www.feathersmc.com/ Prices are good and John specializes in Atlantic Salmon fly materials. I prefer the JEC silk, but the French Silk is pretty good stuff too. If you use silk floss, make sure your fingers have no snags or rough skin. Silk gloves or Yosemite Finger Treatment really help stop the fraying.

What? No step by step instructions? Too much server space? Too many steps? Can’t describe the techniques? All of the above? I can’t imagine the time, artisty, knowlege, tactile ability, and patience it takes to make something so glorious. (Hat off)
