Inspired by Pete Naranchich’s Big Hole Demon nymph/streamer http://www.flyanglersonline.com/bb/showthread.php?51910-Big-Hole-Demon-SBS. Pattern calls for badger hair tail - mine’s 2700 miles away (and the fly shops around here don’t open 'till 10) so I subbed hackle; doubt that it matters.

tail - badger hackle fibers
abdomen/thorax - peacock herl
hackle - badger
mid-section - opalescent mylar medium

Mash down barb, start thread
even tips on some hackle fibers, measure for length (shank); tie in/trim butts
tie in hackle
tie in peacock, twist around thread (for re-enforcement); wrap to 1/3 mark, tie off and trim
