Used Jay Nicholas? Simple Skater as a starting point.

hook - Dai Riki 899 #8
thread - UTC 140 tan
tail - Krystal Flash rootbeer
body - Ice Dub golden brown
hackle - hen pheasant
head - 2mm foam tan
wing - deer hair

Part 1

Mash barb/start thread; tie in KF, fold, wrap to point above point

Create thread loop, wax, insert dubbing, spin, wrap dubbing loop

Rough up with velcro

Prep pheasant feather; tie in by tip, wrap, tie off/trim

Part 2

Notch end of foam strip (gap width); tie in

Trim to length; notch rear

Clean, stack, measure (tips to bend) a clump of deer hair; trim butts/tie in

Set front angle with thread wraps in front of foam

Whip finish, SHHAN, trim tail
