Another question, are there any good flyshops or big boxes close to the Cape or Newport RI ? (my first stop)

In Provincetown, Nelsons Bait Shop. Turn right towards Race Point off of Rt 6 and make the next right hand turn. There is a shop there as well (primarily bait but some fly)

Could also try Saltwater Edge on RI and my personal fave the Bearsden in Taunton, MA. A short drive off the Cape but well worth the trip as it is a fly only store.
There is also an Orvis dealer - Fishing the Cape in East Harwich.
The Goose Hummock shop that Jed mentions is not an Orvi$ shop.
I believe he is thinking of Fishing the Cape in East Harwich.
The people at the Goose have always been very good to me. They are on the water and rent kayaks too.
There is another fly shop in North Chatham near Ryders Cove whose name escapes me.
How can I forget that shop near pleasant bay. Closed when the owner is out fishing. Name escapes me, but it is on the 28 from Chatham to Orleans.

Hey Duff,
The restraints have been tough to chew on lately. I was trying to get out your way for a day and I got the flu instead.
Make sure you exercise some restraint when you’re browsing all those shops with cash in your pocket. Hope you get a good exchange. When I went down in August of this year I got a much better rate than last year.
