Does anyone here ever use a Webcam on Skype.com?
I hooked up a webcam today and met a couple of cool people and tied up 2 flies and had a blast.
Anyone interested in meeting up at the Vise and tying some flies?

we had some big fun all day just about.
I got mine on ebay so I could visit with Granbabies and Daughters etc., and didnt set it up till yesterday and had a blast.
Bugman does a Group Fly tying lesson thing on tuesdays and saturdays on veiwbook and skype…
We just aim the camera at the vises and get after it and talk eachother thru the fly and discuss just whatever needs be…mucho fun
I think everyone should know these 2 fellas…both just wonderful and kind people.
Do you need more than a pc to do this?
I’ve tied with Bugman and Gemrod a few times. I have a laptop. Think all you need is speakers and a webcam. Wasn’t aware Bugman was back on his site teaching flytying. Will have to get my table back in order.

I was wanting to join in the web cam tying thing, so bought a good Logitech camera. Was an easy set up. Signed onto Skype and Logitech Vid HD.
Added some friends to try things out. Everything works fine except as I am on Satelite, the upload and download speed is too slow for streaming video. So I kicked up my speed for a few days, still not fast enough. Talked to several techies, advised at any speed I have on satelite, it would not be enough. Moral to the story is I understand you need to have one of the faster broadband hook ups. Not possible out here in the boondocks for me. Am just lucky I can have the slower satelite. Better than the 10 years of slow, very slow, and drops, etc of dial up.
I have the webcam built into my laptop and Skype is part of my software package but is there any additional cost for using skype??? I don’t want to even consider it unless I’m sure I’m not gonna get my internet bill and have it show a fortune!!! just for using the webcam.
Any advice??? or info
I know Gemrod, and Bugman…fished with both. They are good people. Bugman and his wife, and I get together for some fishing, and tying, and showing off our flies now and then. I usually talk to him fairly often. He is very talented, and quite a character. I warn you, he is quite entertaining…lol. I see Bugman and his wife more in the spring and fall. But I visit them fairly often. I always enjoy our visits.
Pretty sure Skype to Skype is free, though it costs to go Skype to phone. Great stuff.

All ya need is your pc and a HD webcam and some good lighting so that we can see your vise.
Skype is free and ya just need to register like everything and just follow the directions and when you get there,my username is jbthwart77 when you try to contact someone ya just need to put a contact name in when it asks you to do so…and my computer will ring out and let me know when someone is paging me…very simple setup …trust me its perty cool and different
Just gotta go to skype.com and you can find your help that you’ll need.

I asked him if I could and he says to give to anyone that needs help navigating it and he will be happy to walk ya thru it and he is good at it.
Group sesions are what Bugman wants to teach and he is a character.
Skype is free, I use it all the time to video talk to my daughter in college and my parents back home in Michigan.
I have one question, can you have multiple people skyping the same page at one time???
