I just received my Autumn 2007 Issue. This one of the most impressive issues I have ever seen.

a. Foxy Lady Nymph- Tied by Wendy Williams of Dayton Tenn.

b. Bass Bumble Bee Gurgler- Tied by Andrew Bonk of Park Ridge Illinois.

c. Squid-Sicle- Tied with Hareline Dubbin’s Two Tone Cotton Candy Zonker Strip (Cool!)

d. The Barber Bullet (Pike Fly)- Actual Bullet Shell with a Steel BB in it, that Rattles.

e. Tying With Stripped Quills- By A.K. Best

f. The 6 Nymphs You Must Tie.

g. Ten New Patterns To Catch Trout In California.

h. Waterwisp Flies For Difficult Fish.

i. Everglades Fly Patterns.

j. Japanese Extended Body Mayflies (Wow!)

k. Egg Yarn Sculpin (Love it!)

l. Tyer Profile- Hermann Fischer, Kamloops’s Creative Craftsman (Check out his tying station!)

I only subscribe to Fly Tyer and I was on the fence about signing up for another year, until this issue!
I don’t like receiving magazines in the mail, but you get a break on the price. The newspaper, magazines or anything on paper has to be utilized by me or I don’t want them to pile up, unread!

That is a great magazine, Got my issue the other day as well.

Greatest issue this year so far I say.

I don’t like the california article, crappily written in my opinion, and the flies have almost NO natural materials in them.
They look more like a cruel joke that should be on a birthday cake.

It’s perfectly normal for you to be critical about the Fly Tyer article, because I would be the same way if they did a story on my State.

The desk of Herman Fischer is crazy! I would never be able to find anything in there. Its like a fly shop.

That Squid sicle is awesome. I like the way the eyes are done.

Whats with the renzetti ad on the inside of the front page…Looks like a new vise. Time to check out their website and see whats up.

Great mag though I have over 200 fly fishing and tying mags and 150 are cataloged as to flys and what they are dry wet etc… so if a friend or fishing buddy asks I can usually find it for them, or have a good time trying…
