Fly shops in Aspen / Denver Co

I’m in Aspen until Saturday and then in Denver until Tuesday.

I’d like to check out a local fly shop, get some flies or materials that would just be different than south Carolina.

Any local shops? I’m here for skiing- not fishing but will have some time to stop in a shop.

Thanks

We’re blessed with lots of great fly shops out here. If shopping for tying materials is your goal, though, try Charlie Craven’s shop. His selection of tying materials may be the best of any shop anywhere. Here’s the link. http://www.charliesflyboxinc.com/flybox/index.cfm

There are a couple shops in Carbondale/Glenwood, one right on the west side of the road as you enter Glenwood from the Aspen side. Not sure of the name, but I drive by it once in a while!

Roaring Fork Anglers in Glenwood Springs, Taylor Creek and Frying Pan Anglers in Basalt Colorado

When you are in Denver, I concur with the others. Charlie’s Fly Box. The best inventory of tying supplies in Denver.

DUB has the shops right. Taylor Creek has a shop in Aspen at Aspen Sports. They are in full Ski mode now. I think you will have to go to Basalt For tying stuff. Fishing up by the dam on the Pan is pretty good right now.I went up on Sunday
