Fly Recommendations for Rockfish?

Hello. This is the most informative site I’ve been to! Couldn’t have been with more helpful people than here.

I’m tagging along w/ my friend this Sunday to Oregon coast because rockfishes are hitting. If any of you guys have favorite flies (that works) for these fishes it would be greatly appreciated.

We used to do well with a General Practitioner (shrimpy looking stuff) and deceivers (baitfish immi’s). We never bothered, but they DO eat a lot of baby octopus when available.

Thanks Lee S! I did receive your reply too late though so I just used a charteuse clouser & landed 2 beatiful copper rockfishes :smiley:

I had so much fun we’re going back in 2 weeks. I’ll definitely try your recommendations. Thanks again.
