Fly line treatments?

I need a good fly line treatment and I have heard of one in particular on this site but can’t remember the name of it. It is sold by one of the sponsors of this site. Anyone know what the name of it is?

Zipcast. Sold by dotman. http://flyreeldots.com/

Great stuff!

That’s the stuff, & it’s fantastic!
Mike

I appreciate you guys for responding so quickly.

Denny

You’re supposed to treat your line?

I try to give mine some psychotherapy and positive re-enforcement every so often, but I don’t think it listens.

Gig-M; try showing your fly lines, “your sensitive side”. Maybe shed a tear and let it drop on a loose coil or two of line? Perhaps, even, a little “Sen Tu”, therapy. Just you and your fly line, alone under a tree, speak softly… you get the idea…

Fly lines are made out of recycled marine corps parachutes they wont listen to you unless your swearing at them. Only way it knows you care.

Eric

ZipCast is the only one I use now!

Zipcast!
Don’t forget to treat the guides too!

It’s so much a part of my routine now that I forgot about treating the guides! Thanks for the reminder, Jack.

:):)

Zipcast…another 10 recommendations and I’ll have to try it.

namekagon,

I will give you 10 reasons to try it.

Easy to apply
Very slick line
Very clean line
No buffing needed
No waiting for it to dry
A little goes a long way
Old lines will perform like new
Clean your line in 2 minutes or less
Your money back if you are not satisfied
Evaporates over time, so nothing left on your line to attract dirt

Dot

I use it. I really like it. Never have put it on the guides of my rod but will do so soon. Good tip, Jack.

What can I say…except I’ll order some!

I tried to put it on a guide and got hit for doing it.

Rick

Geesh, Rick and here I thought that I WAS the only one, that read the line about “Putting it on your guide”, meant the same thing as you thought!?!
I also tried the “putting it on your guide”, while in Montana a year ago. She was NOT pleased, regardless of the fee Bishop and I were paying her for the day’s fishing. Knocked me for a loop and clear out of her boat.
(Evidently and obviously, she already had her own preferences for a good sun-block)
Although, it’s not BAD as a dessert topping, too, there’s better, like chocolate.
But, when it comes to line dressings, there’s none better than Zipcast.

I wanted to order some Zip Cast but Dotman will no longer send it north of the border. I have no idea why. I checked all the sponsors and no one seems to have it. I don’t see it on Cabellas website. There is none on ebay or other sites I have looked at. Anyone know where I can order some?

Dotman can you tell me why don’t ship Zipcast internationally anymore?

I have used your finger treatment and the new palm treatment and the stuff is just awesome. Made the mistake of giving a sample to my bro in law who works in a tire shop. He made me order 4 large ones for all the guys in his shop.

I love your products So I know zipcast will work.
Are there any Canadian dealers I can contact to get some Zipcast ?

Rick and Paul -

Guys, it’s all in the PRESENTATION. Work on that and the guides will love you.

John

So, John, you’re inferring that “Yo!! ‘Mere, ya’ sow belly!”, WASN’T a good “opening line” to address our guide with, under the circumstances?
I’ll check with Rick, on this. Rumor has it, "he’s a GENIUS when it comes to the ladies!

Gnu Bee Flyer,

I process and ship all orders for Zipcast. I had to suspend international shipments because after doing more research I found that to properly send ZipCast out of the US it is not cost effective due to the surcharges placed on the product because of it’s contents. In addition not all places will accept liquids that have even a tiny bit of alcohol in them which Zipcast has.

I wish I could sell ZipCast internationally because it would be a huge market. If anyone has any interest in being a dealer in their country and buy in volume to offset higher freight charges I am interested.

Dot

PS, I don’t know about the guide thing, something about a slippery guide can be a little suspicious.
