Fly Fishing for Vets Rod

This rod is 98% complete, only awaiting a special signature (trying to get our Governor)- the rod is a donation to www.flyfishingforvets.com as a fund raiser - On November 22 we will be hosting a “Fishing For Vets Day” we will have +60 wounded vets being transported to event. all vets are invited. We are in the process of getting the Governor to issue a proclamation for “Fishing For Vets Day” -our DNR with support from the Chattahoochee National Park service will be stocking +3000 - Catch and Release

Grip is made of birch bark, reel seat insert is stabilzed maple burl, first butt wrap is the Afgan service ribbon, second butt wrap is the Irag service ribbon, guides wrap is the Purple Heart ribbon - thanks to everyone who has sent flies, rods, etc to us. I’m not a rod builder, but I use to crest arrows and that first photo really reminded me of some of the shafts that I crested in the old days. Nicely done - congrats.
