Kirkmac, that’s a nice first post  . I’m sure that some of the sponsors of this board are having sales also. I’ll spend my money at those shops.
Regards,

Hey there Bakerloo,
Although your’s too was a first post, I’m sure JC and LF and all the REAL sponsors appreciate your post. As do I. AND I echo your sentiments.

Mark

Marco, I’ve been lurking here for years. I honestly didn’t realize that it was my first post. i believe that’s important to buy from sponsors. It takes time and money to produce this website that we all enjoy for free. There are no commercials or interuptions that are on TV or the radio.

We owe it to the guys that pay the bills to shop there.

Bakerloo,
Come clean now. ARE YOU JCs BROTHER IN LAW???

Mark

Guys, thanks for the concern. Sure, it makes sence to buy from our sponsors whem appropriate. Remember they feel that FAOL is trying to help guys in fly fishing. So, the try to help too. Most just support by paying for an ad which is what it takes to ‘keep the lights on’ sort of thing. Some, in addition, help by supplying product for events and by actually writing articles for us. There is a thin line between trying to bring news of something that will be very helpful and important to fly fishers and just a commercial. It’s probably unfair to my sponsors, but I lean in favor of our readers. Without the readers, there would be no sponsors at all. For instance, the above post may be from one of the owners. I went on the site and can’t find any real names. I will let it stand unless I learn otherwise.

kirkmac,

Thanks for the heads up on 15% discount. I have no allegiance one way or the other.

Just so you will know…Hook & Hackle, which is a sponsor here, has a 20% discount everyday all year long.

I’ve been looking for a true rotary vice for awhile and finally bought one today from hook and hackle. The 2006 retail price for the Dyna-King Barracuda jr trekker is $229. (although many shops are selling them for $219)
With the %20 off coupon I paid $179.15 including shipping. A great deal in my opinion.
The Hook and Hackle web site states the %20 discount is good until the end of the month. Hopefully that isn’t the case but even if it is I would still order from them because of the selection and very reasonable shipping rates.
Great, very informative web site you have here. Glad I finally joined. :stuck_out_tongue:

We are too. Now, what to do with all those acorns you have coming.

Keep watch on our web site. We started a December sale last year and will have a month long sale again next month.
