by the throat!

Ernie,
Fly tying is a fantastic and rewarding hobby and , to me, a relaxing hobby. Once you learn the basics of fly tying, it will provide you with the talent to create flies that your fish want. Catching a fish on a fly you tied is a great feeling plus using a fly that you created that no one else can walk into a fly shop and find is a good feeling. Pay attention and “soak it up”. You are going to love it! Give us a report.
Ernie,
What’s the clubs name?
Larry —sagefisher—
It’s the Waco Fly Fishing Club, in Waco,Texas!
Ernie
John Maddox and Ray Emerson are just two of great tyers in that International Federation of Fly Fishers club. You a will have a great time with those folks!
Just got back from my first fly club meeting! (Waco Fly Club)
Really enjoyed it! Had a guest speaker,Les Jackson, did a presentation on
urban fishing. Got to see some flies being tied, and met some new friends.
Don’t know why I didn’t start this earlier in life!
Ernie
Anyone can bait a hook and toss a line into the water, but as we know, the artistry of casting a fly is another world. So much so when you can bamboozle a fish into taking something you crafted yourself as part of the food chain. As the old saying goes … it don’t get any better then that!
