I’ll get some buffalo burger, Italian sausage, buns, burger condiments, soda, beer and water. I’m at 387 Gulf Breeze Blvd. in the Venice East subdivision in south Venice.
Venice East Blvd. is about a mile south of Jacaranda Blvd., which is a major intersection on US41. Turn left onto Venice East. Gulf Breeze is six-tenths of a mile on the left.
We’ll have charts of the area, including places you can wade or 'yak.

I would like to fish but I will not be down there as long as I had planned. I have recently been sick and don’t need to be tent camping in that night air. I actually cancelled a trip to Chokoloskee this weekend for that very same reason. My sick leave dwindled drastically after two shoulder operations and there just isn’t much left to take a chance on getting sick right now.
I will be hauling my kayak down and will bring an extra one if someone would like to use it. Let me know before Saturday as that is when I’ll load the float toys up.
What are the water temps there right now? I have waders if need be.
I’ll be getting there as early as I can Sunday morning but will head home after the BBQ. I will head back down the next weekend if there are still some things going on.
I’m planning on getting there sometime on Saturday from Missouri, probably late afternoon. If you are going to be there a little earlier let me know because I’d love to get together with anyone to do some fishing. I’ll also have my kayak with me, so wading/kayaking will be just fine.
Will probably fish Saturday & Sunday with a fly fishing buddy who’s hoping the icicles in his beard will thaw before he gets here, somewhere up in Lemon Bay. 8)
p.s. I will be there Sunday but I am frantically trying to get Monday off. One of my supervisors is a fisherman and would understand but the other, well, she could care less. HA!
I think Ken and Dianne said they wouldn’t be there for the BBQ but would be coming in afterwards. I would like to be off Monday to fish/socialize/eat supper with them on Monday and Monday evening.
