Sounds like a drag. The good thing about fishing from a boat is that there is always one direction that you can cast to. Usually the wrong direction, but thats about as good as you can expect.

Can anyone tell me what this long skinny stick and string combination is? It’s got a winding device that holds more string. I vaguely recall using something similar back about February.
