Flasher Flies

Does anyone have the recipe for Andy Kim’s Yong Flasher flies?

i think its a thread body with a tinsel thorax

Here’s a decent tutorial for a Yong Special:

Take a look at the Flasher on Andy Kim’s site http://yspecial.com/ and figure out what mods he made to the head - looks like pearl Krystal Flash twisted in with the black thread.

Hi All: Believe it or or not I have the tutorial for the Yong Special. I have never heard of the Flasher fly before and I’m curious how it’s tied. I went to Andy Kim’s site but I can’t enlarge the photos. I hope you all keep trying.

LC, The Flasher Fly is just the same as the Yong SPecial wi5th the exception of a couple of turns of Pearl Krystal Flash tied in at the head.
