Reading about the Frank Sawyer PT got me thinking about one of my favorite nymphs - the Flashback PT. I?ve tied the wingcase with various materials, but mostly pearl flashabou, clear antron, or Stalcup?s Medallion Sheeting or Flashback Sheeting in green, blue, and peacock and none is a clear winner to me. What is your favorite material and color for the flashback wingcase for the PT?
Also ? has anybody ever tied it with a wingcase similar to a Copper John? I mean with a drop of epoxy or Loon?s UV Knot Sense or whatever on the top?
Your expertise would be greatly appreciated.

I use Mirage (opal) tinsel for most of my flashback nymphs.

I use several strands of pearl Krystal Flash. I have added a drop of clear nail polish to the flash-back.

Try doll hair. I bought a lifetime supply at a thrift store for 25 cents.

Try large flat pearl tinsel from UTC.
I will take mylar (pearl) indiviual strips; I pull apart the mylar,
& tie in 2 or three (depending on nymph size).
I coat the flash back with a light coat of superglue. The chemical reaction of the superglue on the mylar strips sets off some amazing color, & really entices the trout. You can see this on the Conejos Olive Flashback Nymph I have pictured with recipe on Flytyingworld.com
