Fixing waders

My wife’s waders are leaking at the toe of the neoprene boot and at the top of the neoprene boot. How do you fix this? The instructions for patching that came with the waders seem to talk more about fixing holes in the breathable fabric, more than the neoprene.

I had the same problem. I got a tube of E 9000 adhesive at Hobby Lobby and it worked great. I applied it to all of the seams and anywhere it looked like a pinhole had developed.

What brand are they? should be under warranty.

Kaboom1;
Could that be the source of the "Smell/Stink eminating from your waders?

There I’ve done it and Im’ glad, glad, glad, heheheheheheeheeha!!

Sorry Jim but he asked for it! :lol:

Jack it’s about you grew a pair LOL

I had that happen while on a trip to Alaska once, used “ShoeGoo” on them and they never leaked again, 'least not in the stocking feet, anyway.

I had the same problem at the mi fishin—Rusty told me to fill up the boot only with water (inside out) and squeeze it—it becomes VERY evident where the problems are. We then used Loon UV glue (applied even when wet) and put it out in the sun—problem solved!

send the manufacturer an email or visit their website for advice and recommendations. aquaseal used to be “the” product years ago to seal neoprene.

I always used Aquaseal…it works for me.

Another vote for Aquaseal. It works great, STICKS and stays pliable. Also get yourself some Cotol-240 accelerator which speed up the curing time.

BTW - wear rubber gloves when working with Aquaseal. The stuff is a pain to get off of your hands.
