Fish, what fish? I was distracted by the ladies on the left.

Amazing video. I have no idea what kind of fish they are.

Hey Jesse,

Back when I managed a marina for the
Navy, the Corp of Engineers had a dredging
project going on in the river and their
inspector was a friend. One day he pulls up
in his Boston Whaler and asked if I had a
few minutes to see something unusual. Off
we flew up to the spoil area where the
dredge was pumping silt. He handed me a
spare hard hat and told me to keep it on.
He went charging up into little more than
a ditch that was carrying water overflow
from the spoil area, threw the boat sideways
across the ditch and started reving the
engine. Hundreds of large jumping mullet
were in the ditch and they immediately
started doing what they do best, jumping.
We quickly had several dozen large mullet
in the boat and the odd bruise here and
there. It was unreal! I don’t think any
of the fish in the add are mullet, but fish
sometimes do strange things when they
panic. Just like people.G Warm regards,
Jim

I’m missing something here…what the heck is going on in that video?? At first glance I though they were dynamite fishing. I heard all of the banging, and started getting a little upset, then I realized that it must be the sound of fish landing in the boat!! I’m still shocked by what I’ve just witnessed

Looks like a trip to the Amazon River to me…Judging by the peacock bass and the other Amazon type speices I seen…???

“I’ve often wondered why it is that so many anglers spend so much money on,and pay so much attention to.the details on the wrong end of the fly line.If they took as much care in selecting or tying their flies as they did in the selection of the reel and rod,They might be able to gain the real extra edge that makes it possible to fool a fish that has,in fact, seen it all before” A.K.Best

Everyone wants to excel in this sport but at the same time we let traditionalists place restrictions on our tactics, methods, and ideas. I always assumed that fly fishing was a sport that allowed imagination, creation, adaptation, investigation, dedication, education, revelation? : Fox Statler, On Spinners (Not the dainty Dry Fly kind) “Spinner’d Minner Fly”

Holy Christ those fish can jump, I think the fish are just tryin to full the boat so much it sinks.

Some of the fish were hitting the guy in the head

“Just when I’ve caught a nice trout and feeling very proud of my fly fishing ability, my feet fly out from under me and there I sit, wet, flustered and properly humiliated by the Fly Fishing gods.”
