FISH IN SURPRISE FROM MY WIFE

First of all, let me explain. I’m going to the Idaho Fish-In with my wife. We will probably spend the entire week there. The other day, I talked about leather fly wallets, and how I found one (and DID NOT BUY IT) for $98 from a famous fly fishing online outfit. I mentioned that these are the old fashioned wallet you could find in the tweed vest pocket of an old timey bamboo fly fisher. Well, through the generousity of the folks at this site, I have been given two fleece lined fly wallets. Now I found out from my wife, that she went to JoAnn’s Fabrics today and bought enough wool material to make a gentleman’s vest for me, so I can carry those wallets with me on the Lochsa and the Selway in Idaho. That prompts me to think I will be fishing with my home-made, 7’ , 3 piece, 5 wieght, grass stick that I made from scrap parts. I also found an appropriate hat to wear and I’m looking forward to “Looking The Part.” Maybe that will help me catch some fish. Next on my list is a wooden net and a wicker creel. I’m excited now. Hope to see you all at the Idaho F-I.

Hey Joe,

Your certainly going to be a dapper dude, but you got to go a ways to
top JC and his “tails”.G Warm regards, Jim

Jim,
I haven’t seen JC’s tails. Maybe we can talk him into tuxing up for the Idaho F-I. BTW, he is one of those who gave me a wallet. I can hardly wait. Those rivers, the Lochsa and the Selway are as beautiful as they get. And the fish, Westslope Native Cutthroat are as handsome as they get. I just hope the N/W fires don’t intrude. Hopefully, by the end of September, the weather should be perfect. It usually is.
God Bless,
