Fish-in in Colorado July 2006 ????

Anyone interested in having a fish-in in Colorado in July 2006?

We could go to Glenwood Springs and fish the Colorado, Roraring Fork and Frying Pan rivers.

That should be in the middle of the Green Drake hatch. Caddis will be there also.

kphume,
I’d love to pitch in on the organizing end of things. I am headed out east towards the end of July '06. Who do you guide for? We should get together and trick a few trout. I am headed to the Willie’s this weekend for some R&R.

I’m interested. I’d drive an hour to meet some folks off this board.

July can be tough depending on the run-off. The Roaring Fork could be dangerous to wade, and the Colorado could be muddy. Just the same, I’d like to attend

Make it further south in CO. and I may attend. July can be iffy if there is any type of good snowpack. Too Much water. Unless you select a tailwater; superb summertime fishing water.

That area is a pricey zoo mid summer! Too many people!

Would just love to. Some nice old stomping grounds that are always worth returning to !!!

That area is sooooooo crowded in summer. I love the waters there, but it is a stressful place to fish. I’d vote for Durango. You got the Animas in town, (good chance for big browns) and the best creeks in the state just north of town, including Hermosa, where you can stalk Colorado River Cutts. The Sanjuan is also in range for people who like that sort of thing.
