Just wanted to wish all those in the northwest good luck and a fast recovery from any effects of the recent storms.

Welcome to the BB, with a name like John (Jock) Scott, you’ll be interested in Salmon fishing?

Welcome John Scott,…Rigby, wow…I’ve actually been there !
Edit: I take that back…thinkin’ Rexburg on my way to Jellystone.

John,
Your pretty close to Yellowstone. Rigby is in between Idaho Falls and Rexburg for everyone else’s info.
I have many memories of driving through your area.
Doug

John,

Welcome aboard. I bought a vise from some folks in Rigby. I’m sure you’ll like it here. Most folks are downright friendly, but we do have a couple of exceptions.

Hello John,

A Warm Welcome to you

Welcome John

Welcome aboard John. You’ll like it here. Lots and lots of information to explore, and a nationwide archive of expertise to call upon. Spit into the wind, and you’ll hit my house from yours. (Ucon) I’m sure we know some of the same people. How long you been at the FF game? What kind of fishing do you like to do? (Stream…lake…river)? See? You can add to the archive.

Thanks to all of you for the warm welcome. Actually, I have been faithfully reading new issues of FAOL every Monday since shortly after I took up fly fishing about four and a half years ago. In my case, Ladyfisher’s shoulder problem resulted in a silver lining. The lack of new issues on and off for the past couple months caused me to go exploring on the site and I finally started reading the bulletin board about a month ago.

By the time I had a good reason to post a message ( actually, a terrible reason !! ), I came to know most of your names and something of the personalities you show. I can tell you, it has been a delightful experience to read your posts, to see the accumulated knowledge of so many aspects of fly fishing, fly tying, rod building etc. etc. etc, and the friendship and good humor you all display on a regular basis.

So thanks again, and maybe one of these days I’ll have something more of value to add.

John

p.s. LEW - mostly streams and rivers, very little still water fishing. Spent a couple hours on the South Fork this afternoon and landed a couple nice cutts and a dozen or so browns.

Welcome John. Having discovered the bulletin board you now only have to discover the Chat room and your life will be complete. Plenty of good info and friendship in chat each night.

I look forward to meeting you in person at the Idaho Fish In next September In Lowell. ( that was the commercial )

 Welcome and enjoy!! Just watch out for a few lurking pirates, yea, even out here in the west.
