The first fish of the new year - 12" crappie. Caught on a #10 charteuese Bully Spider in a pond.

Mike, The rod is a 6wt 4pc TFO, the reel is the model 1494 1/2 Medalist.
My first was a rock bass, followed by a uh, um, well… carp 
That’s great, Bill, and a 12 incher. Way to go. Now go get some more :D. Where there’s one, there ought to be some more :).
I went out on new year’s day, in my float tube, on a local trout pond and managed a crappie, a largemouth, and two trout, although I must say that this particular post should be in the COLD water forum!
