First Bream on the Fly

As you may or may not know, i am new to the world of fly fishing.I went out earlier to a 25 acre pond and caught a couple fish. The first fish I caught was a little bream. A little later, I caught a fat little one pound bass. I have caught a few bass on flies before but that was my first bream.I was hoping to catch a few more fish as the weather turned out to be warm and sunny, but each fish I catch while fly fishing brings me a certain satisfaction anyway. The fly of choice for today was a wooly worm from Panman. Thanks again for those flies.
The other day, I had a good pickerel on a black wooly bugger from Panman, but he threw it before I could land him.

Thanks for posting the pictures. You are right about every fish caught on a fly being special. Good choice of flies. The woolly worm is one of my favorites for gills (bream).

Congrats, and welcome to the club. Now of I could only find some soft water, things would be much better.

Cool - You are hooked!!!

Tim

I’m with you since I look outside and it is all white.

keep that reel out of the sand my friend, it isn’t good for the fine tool that you have.

Now take that thing and learn how to catch carp with it. Seriously, and have a blast with something that can really pull.

Thanks for the nice fishing report! (and nice pics, too!).
Just went out, myself, yesterday after the same two “breeds” and had a lot of fun!
I love trout fly fishing, but this time of year, with the “Knack Sasties” creeping up on me, going out for these readily available and hard fighting little guys is a real blast!
Thanks again and I bet it was “partially” Panman’s flies that did the trick!
