Thought I’d share some pics I took from tonight with all.
Pics were taken with settings on Bulb mode, f/9 iso100 with noise reduction on and mounted to a tripod. Held the shutter open for between 3 to 8 seconds for most the pics. Also tried to include some trees and the moon in the frame to help add a little perspective. Didn’t have a remote shutter release so had to make due without that this time.
This was the first time taking pics of fireworks for me, as well as first time really getting into the manual settings on my Canon, so I’m pretty satisfied with the results for the first attempt.
Either the wind was blowing or gravity is off a bit from the vertical in your part of the world. Kewl pics.
My camera all of these program modes, including one for fireworks. And two for baby pictures. I have not found one for fish, but am still only on page 468 of the manual.

:lol:Actaully its just where I was position in the park. All the rows of trees were all on the right side and I was shooting some what at an angle to them so with the lens pointed skyward it gives a real odd perspective to the landscape;)
I hear ya about the manuals. I even bought a manual on DVD for this camera and I think I was more confused after watching the DVD than I was before putting it in!
But I used the 2 second delay to get rid of any shake. Set the shutter for your prefered time, listen for the “thump”, and pull the trigger!
Those are some sensational shots. If it’s OK with you, I’m gonna steal a couple of them for my desktop at work.
Those pics are awesome, such good quality. What were the fireworks celibrating? What kind of camara did you use for those pics and how many megapixals? Great job
